Wolfsburg West hosts 9th IVVW Springfest
What a great spring day for a VW car show!
Since 2006, the Inland Valley Volkswagen club, and Wolfsburg West have hosted an impressive VW car show. For the 9th year in a row, this show has packed the parking lot at Wolfsburg West's location in Corona, California, in fact, they filled up the lot next door as well. By 8:00 this past Saturday, over 114 classic VWs had found their way to this show, to enjoy being a part of this popular gathering. Not only was this a VW car show, it also featured a used part swap meet, some VW vendors were on hand, and Wolfsburg West opened their doors for anyone who wanted to stock up on parts for their classic VW. Highlights of Saturday's show included a slow drag, won by "Corona" Ryan once again, a water balloon toss over the roof of a VW bus, and the big raffle at the end of the day. Inside Wolfsburg West, there was a place to get out of the sun and cool off, not to mention a handy foosball game that got used non-stop. At 2:00, the awards were given out, which were decided by People's Choice, but results from those awards were not saved. So for now, enjoy the photos taken from that enjoyable show. Plans are in the works to make next year's show even bigger and better. Talk is that the IVVW is going to combine their show on Saturday, with OEBC's Spring Picnic on Sunday!. Since both shows are located so closely together, you can camp out on Saturday night and attend both shows. Sounds like fun to us.
