HDI’s Adjustable Cam Gears
Check out these trick new adjustable straight-tooth cam gear sets, available thanks to Steve Wilkerson of HDI Products. The black oxide, 28-32 RcC-hardened, 5120 steel gears offer four precision bolt patterns to give 0, 2, 3, 4, or 6° advanced or retard options. Patterns are stamped A, B, C, and D; slot in cam gear points to letter of given degree options marked on the teeth (Diagram shows 2° advanced). Precision 14mm hex-head Grade 8 cam bolts have a shoulder to drive the gear, eliminating driving gears with threads. Also, the crank gear has a built-in spacer, and these gear sets are available in stock and .100-drop cam sizes, plus shipping.
