DKP Announces their new location for the annual Classic Weekend Cruise
Friday night cruise for the Classic Weekend moves to Main Street in Garden Grove.
The Der Kleiner Panzer VW Club announced today, that during the 2014 Classic Weekend Friday night cruise, a new location has been found. With the closure of Nick's Burgers in Fullerton, and limited space at their monthly meeting place at Farmer Boys, the club went about looking for a better location for the annual Classic Weekend. So today, the DKP announced that on Friday night, June 20, the club will host their popular night cruise to Main Street in Garden Grove. This street has been the location for a weekly hot rod cruise, but on this night, the VWs will take over Main Street! Located between Garden Grove Blvd, and Acacia Street, this 1/8th mile stretch of Main Street will be blocked off to local traffic beginning at 4:00pm. Up to this point, normal traffic will be allowed, so early arrivals will have to park in the normal spots until 4:00. Once the street has been closed, VWs can then park diagonally, and there should be spots for 120-140 VWs. There is also additional parking lots available to the east and west. This stretch of Main street is lined with shops and restaurants, which should be a plus for everyone. The City of Garden Grove is very pro hot rods and classic cars and welcomes the DKP and all the VWs to this location for this special Classic night. See you all there!
