We just got word that Lyle Cherry passed away last night. During our recent interview, he told us that he was suffering from cancer, and his time was limited. Lyle ran his VW shop in Fort Worth, Texas since the early '70s. He set perhaps more National Records than any other VW tuner ever. Lyle will be missed, but at the same time, we are so glad that we were able to spend time with him, and share some of his history in the magazine. RIP Lyle Cherry.
