You can barely see the Volkswagen of America wording on the top of this wooden crate. Should we open it?

Hot VWs Magazine Storage Room Find

Much of what is in this storage room has been there since we last moved, which was, oh, 1986!

Long long ago, in an industry that has changed so much over the years, Volkswagen of America sponsored a Super Vee program. Around 1978, they wanted people to move away from air-cooled 1600s (or small Type 4s), and build more water-cooled based engines, so.... they offered this builder's engine kit, which was designed to be the foundation for a full-race Super Vee engine. We got one from their racer support program, and we still have it unopened and still in the original crate. Gee, we wonder what else could be in this storage room?
